CBT - Therapy

CBT - Therapy is about helping you understand thought patterns, emotional states or behaviours. By understanding these, you can make changes in your life.

It can be about a new life situation, major events, stress, etc.

Together we set up the framework we work around.

Life & Career Coaching

You have the power over your life and the events of life. Life will always change and by staying one step ahead you can steer your life in the direction you want.

Being able to plan and reflect on the phases of life gives you the tools to make decisions and push for the things that ultimately give you a fulfilled life.


We go through physical and mental tools that will help you get where you want to go.

I have previously trained as a coach and NLP practices and also studied and practiced coaching for a long time in my work.

My name is Kira Couo, born Finnish-Swedish but lived over 20 years in Gothenburg and Sweden. I am a bi-weekly parent of two tweens and a full-time parent of a Xolo (Mexican Hairless Dog). I work everyday with innovation at a larger global company, but in recent years have also studied and practiced coaching and therapy on the side of work. I am passionate about understanding people, both in my job and outside of my job, and strongly believe that we all have a lot of capacity that sometimes needs an external push to come out.

 

I myself have received a lot of help from CBT throughout my life and have worked through, among other things, PTSD, depression, stress and exhaustion by charting thoughts and feelings and tactically working with what and where I want in life. After my last pregnancy, I suffered from Alopecia Universalis (total hair loss) and hormonal disorders. Shortly afterwards also divorce and a new every-two-week life with all that that entails. Again I was sold on the power of CBT to surf through life's ups and downs and decided then that I want to work with this.

 

I have previously studied both coaching and Neuro Linguistic Programming. And through my recent training as a Certified CBT Therapist, I now work with a few practice clients.

 

My expertise and interest lie in coping mechanisms, aesthetic diversity and neurodiversity . In addition, I offer proven tools for career and life planning where both CBT and NLP are mixed with traditional life planning. I am also attracted by proven but less clinically proven areas such as functional medicine, holistic bio-hacking and the law of attraction.

 

In our sessions, we start from CBT and the basics of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. We talk about the scenario you want to cover and you will get practical exercises and journaling tasks to continue with at home. The conversations are held primarily online via Teams and take place in Swedish or English.
